PSG will face added pressure for major silverware with Neymar signing

Reports have suggested that PSG have finally agreed a five-year deal worth £450m (after add ons and bonuses) to acquire Neymar from Barcelona. The Brazilian superstar is set to arrive in Paris on Friday to finalize the move that will make him the most expensive footballer in history. While the deal is yet to be finalized, it looks to be increasingly more like an inevitability at this point, as Barcelona have accepted Neymar's request to not take part in training this week.
Marco Verratti

Marco Verratti faces added pressure this season after his agent’s remarks regarding potential Barcelona transfer

Marco Verratti has been the subject of a potential move to Barcelona from Paris Saint-Germain for the past couple of weeks now. The Catalan giants have been quite vocal about how keen they are on acquiring the midfielder's services, but PSG are reluctant to let him go, regardless of what would likely be a considerable fee. His current contract is set to keep him in the French capital until 2021, without a release clause. Earlier this week, Verratti's agent, Donato Di Campli, commented on the transfer saga and suggested that PSG and its owners are unfairly doing whatever it takes to hold on to Verratti, despite the midfielder having an interest to join Barcelona.
Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo could be taking a step backwards if he leaves Real Madrid

Amidst rumors of tax fraud allegations in Spain, Cristiano Ronaldo is reported to have expressed his desire to leave Real Madrid during this summer's transfer window; these are, however, just rumors.  The four time Ballon d'Or winner is about to embark upon the Confederations Cup campaign in Russia with Portugal, just two short weeks after scoring a brace to help Madrid win their twelfth Champions League title.
Paris Saint-Germain

Paris Saint-Germain need to have a Marco Verratti contingency plan

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona this summer, as the Catalan giants are prepared to meet whatever price tag the Parisians put on him. Reports from across Europe have suggested that Verratti has expressed a great deal of interest in leaving Paris, especially after a campaign that saw them miss out on the Ligue 1 title [to AS Monaco] for the first time in five seasons.
